National Park Risnjak
Risnjak National Park, a forest kingdom, is home to three large carnivores and a protected area that attracts true lovers of untamed nature. The National Park offers excursions for all generations, from leisurely walks on less demanding trails to intense ascents to mountain peaks.
The Risnjak massif rises dominantly with the whiteness of its cliffs above the greenery of Gorski Kotar’s forests. The magnificent views from the 1,528 meters above sea level, overlooking the Kvarner Bay, Istria, and the Julian Alps in neighboring Slovenia, remain etched in the memory of every visitor.
